Making dreamcatchers...

One of the things we did today was to make a dream catcher.
It wasn't an easy project, but together we did it!!  In the end it had lovely tassels and feathers attached and is now hanging in Abby's bedroom :)

Handmade birthday card

This beautiful card arrived for me today...it is handmade by my wonderful friend Arleen in Calgary!  Arleen always credits me for encouraging her to get started in card making - and gratitude journaling!!  But she only has herself to thank for her amazing talent - the card is stunning!  I have always admired her work online, but seeing a card in real life is wonderful!

I have never met Arleen but we hope to change that this year and make this the year we finally get together!!!

Little visitor....

As we were heading out this afternoon, we spotted this little guy sitting
on the roof of the bus shelter at the end of our driveway.
He just sat there and let me snap some pictures of him and didn't seem to mind at all :)  Maybe he was saying thank you for all the nuts I put out for him the other day - I put out a big bowl full of hazel nuts etc that I thought the squirrels might like :)

Our Wednesday.....

My poor little guy isn't feeling too great today.  We were supposed to spend today at the museum but we decided to stay home this morning as he was feeling a bit run down - as you can see in the picture above.  Just a bit of a cold really but we'll save the museum for next week instead!

Instead we stayed home for the morning, watched a movie and made crafts. Sam made monsters, while Abigail made more clothes for her doll.  Then we made Valentines.

Abigail and Sam have a whole long list of people to give Valentines to this year...and we have a few different ones we are making.  This is just one of them.  These were fun to make :)

We did have to go out this afternoon though!  I had an appointment downtown, so we made the most of the drive and went to the Bottle Depot with the recycling, and also went to the Reuse Centre and stocked up with supplies for Sculpture classes and other art classes.

Headed home via Michaels for canvases for tomorrows Vision boards class, and then on to Trish's house to pick up eggs - I always get my eggs from her now - farm eggs and they are sooooo good!  Yum!!  So much nicer than store bought eggs!

Tonight I was totally exhausted and drained from my day - wanted to go and meet Darryl for Chinese, but was fed up and tired....and still had to get a vision board prepped for tomorrow, so we made plans for tomorrow night instead.  Abigail helped me set up the art room ready for the class and I created an Inspiration board (more-so than a vision board) for myself:

Sculpture classes wound up today....

Today was the last sculpture class of this block.  We focused on paper sculpture again and created spheres which they could then embellish and use as hanging decorations or use their individual imaginations to alter the spheres as they wished.  Some made flowers, some made small spheres inside bigger spheres, one made his into a lantern complete with flame.

The second activity today was to get into teams of two and work together to build a 7 floor skyscraper out of mini marshmallows and toothpicks.  They all LOVED this activity and were very focused on it throughout despite the sugar involved :)

My next class is a two hour class on creating a vision/ dream boards - learn how a vision board can help you reach your goals and dreams.  We will spend two hours creating a beautiful canvas full of your future ambitions - or focus on a goal you have for this year!!  Positive affirmations, inspirational words, favourite words, quotes and pictures that will will help you to see what it is you want from life.  Find out how to focus more clearly on long term goals, how to stay focused and challenged!!  Learn how to stay true to your dreams and goals!!  Create a vision board for a happy life:

Rosie Posie.

Rosie snuggled up to my arm on the bed tonight, sleeping soundly.  Her breath against my arm is so warm.  She is so sweet and loving.  I adore her. Such a good girl!

Monday night supper....

The kids have been requesting hashbrown casserole for the last week, so yesterday we grabbed the ingredients and last night Abigail asked if SHE could make it!  So, with a little help, she made the above dinner :)  Yum!!!  Well done Abby!  It was delicious!  As Abby got to make dinner, Sam got to light the candle - well supervised :)  So proud was he!!

The topping is really crunchy and delicious - we use crushed up sour cream and chive chips mixed with grated cheddar - sprinkled over the casserole and baked until golden :)

Broken hearted..... :)

We ran some errands this morning - groceries, banking etc etc and then
the children asked to go to Second Cup for a drink.
They each chose a cookie to have with their drink.  Valentines Day is almost here and
Abigail chose this heart shaped cookie :)
It was ideal for some cute pictures :)

Cold and frosty morning....

This morning was a beautiful cold winters day with blue skies and a stunning hoar frost left on the trees.
I couldn't resist snapping a few pictures.

Brave Girls Club online class continues.....

Working on some pages for the online class I'm taking through 'Brave Girls Club'.  This class is called 'Body Restoration' and is a six week class similar to the 'Soul Restoration' 1 and 2 classes I took last year.
