Not long now.....
So J is in labour and Val is off to the hospital to see her new Grandson arrive into the world :) How exciting :) OMG!!! I can't wait to hear!!!! Good luck to J and to Val...I hope it all goes well!!!!
A lovely evening....
Well I was planning on switching the computer off and going up to bed with a cup of tea, but then I saw Vals email about her Daughter and now I'm kind of buzzing......so exciting!
I've had a little too much to drink to be typing a blog post....had a lovely evening. Lloyd finished work early so we headed into town before 5pm. We went to Greenland Garden Centre and strolled around the Christmas displays....so pretty - I love this time of year! We admired all the Christmas trees there - next year we can get a BIG tree....10ft maybe even 12ft tall - to go in the catehdral ceiling part of the dining room......that will be so nice. We reminisced about when we chose our current tree...we bought it at Dobbies garden centre in Edinburgh.....my favourite garden centre EVER (Lynne you are sooooo lucky to live near there!) and I can remember buying it as if it was yesterday and not 6 years ago!
When I met Lloyd he really didn't like Christmas - didn't see what the fuss was about and didn't look forward to it at all...but I do LOVE Christmas and have introduced him to so many traditions and the fun of it all and now he gets excited and loves it as much as me - although can still make very sarcastic jokes about my tacky taste in decor! Ok I admit it, sometimes I have tacky taste :) I like glitter and glitzy things :) sparkly things :)
Anyway, I had so much fun looking around the displays - I may even drag Samantha there on Friday :) I can't wait to take her out for the evening :)
After Greenlands we went to Joeys for dinner (and Bellini's!!!) and that was as great as always! After that we drove down to Salisbury Greenhouses and strolled around the Farmers Market - for the winter it is held every Wednesday inside the Greenhouses! Great idea...music playing....lots of people...Christmas decor....just a really nice place to go! We strolled around the Christmas store there too and I got a couple of little gifts :)
Salisbury Christmas store was filled with women like me dragging husands like Lloyd around the ornaments and all the men looking as uninterested but trying to be interested as possible :) It was funny :) You could see all the women were in awe of the decorations and the season...and all the men were nodding and agreeing with whatever the women said! Funny!
So thank you Lloyd for a lovely evening....dinner AND having the patience to follow me around two Christmas stores :) I love you!

Abby Banana school pics.....
What we did today :)
This morning started with me and Abby playing 'Snap' on the bed.....it was a long game - just one game but it went on forever...I won in the end yay!!! I very rarely win games against Abigail lol!
Susannah was off school today as she had a doctors appt...so off we went into town...returned dvd's to the library, delivered some letters to various businesses about the Christmas party....then we headed to the Doctors. Loooooooooooooong wait!!! Then they showed us into the room and we were left to wait again! I hate having to wiat there - normally we don't ahve to wait, but today it took forever.
So Susie has to have an ultrasound and various blood tests done and some urinalysis etc.....so tomorrow we head into town again for some of that!
After the Docs we went to Timmys for lunch - bagel and coffee for me and bagels and hot chocolate for the children....then we ran into Sobeys...
Home briefly and then I had to run out and grab Chris - he has been taking part in a two day training course about helping prevent bullying in schools....he was happy as they had refreshments provided all day so he didn't want dinner last. Today was the last day so I picked him up from school just now.....
Lloyd is finishing work just before 4pm and then we are going out for DATE NIGHT - woohoo.....tonight we are going to the farmers market and then to stroll around the two garden centres in town to see their Christmas displays...
Home early and to bed early again hopefully.
Thanks to Cheerios Babble, we knew it was Pickle Appreciation Day today - Susannah was thrilled so she went off into Sobeys to get a SMALL jar of pickles.....I swear she came back with biggest jar of pickles she could find lol! But they are all sat at the table right now appreciating their pickles :)
I treated myself to two - yes TWO Christmasy magazines today - I couldn't resist the things they had on their front covers...and one of course was Martha Stewart Living magazine...I HEART Martha Stewart...sad as that sounds lol - I watch her show every morning if I'm at home......It's always on while I potter about tidying my bedroom and getting me and Sam dressed....
Laurie just made me a gorgeous cup of tea....Abby is listening to her favourite Jesse McCartney singing on tv....Sam is playing with his trucks and some candy he got ina 'lucky bag' at the store......everyone is happy and getting along well and just enjoying being home - its a good day :)
Oh and Susie chose dinner for the kids tonight - Minestrone soup and crunchy bread rolls :) No idea what Lloyd and I will have...maybe just chilli at Timmys or something....
Off to relax with my tea and magazines for half an hour before I have to get ready for tonight :)

Erasure..
Despite the fact that Lloyd threatens to slap my hands every time I touch a button in his car (lol) he didn't seem to think it was an issue to change one of the cd's in my car!!! So now instead of Josh Groban in cd1, it's Erasure!!! Have to say though that I'm loving it...it's their Pop! cd from 87 and brings back a TON of memories :)
Their music these days is just the same as it always was - great stuff :)
But Lloyd baby - get yer mitts off my car!!! ;)
colouring...
Today was kind of an off-day. S and L were both home from school sick, so we didn't really do much. S, S and A did some colouring on the floor together - for some weird reason they chose to colour while lying on the floor by the front door/ sitting room doorway! They were busy down there for ages!
A did some of her math book - she basically had to write the number word for the answer so she had to figure out the addition sum and then write the word instead of the number 14 + 3 = seventeen etc etc apart from that the children watched movies - Garfield 2 and Tuck Everlasting.
School pictures....
Letters in the mail....
I got a letter from my nan today. My dads Mom. It was such a wonderful letter, telling me all about how she loved to dance and how square her In-laws were and how she had to introduce 'fun' into my Grandads life after they married :) My Nan is 96 I think.....and although she loves to sew and write, she can't sew any more and struggles to write - she said she needs a typewriter! She kept apologising for her writing! I really enjoyed the whole letter though _ love hearing funny stories about when she was first married!
Tv star!
My friend Lori was on tv again this morning! She was on Global Breakfast tv with her store Baby and Beyond.....her Daughter Jenna (a friend of Susie and Abby) was on there too as the schools are closed in Sherwood Park. Abigail was thrilled to see her friend on tv :) Lori, as always, looked wonderful!
Bizarre cat story

How weird! Nice owner though because I would NOT be getting up on weekends and school holidays to go and get the damn cat!
