Laurence this week....

Laurence finished his grade 11 finals for the first semester at the beginning of this week, so had most of the week off.

We went and used up his GC at Bench where he got a new hoody. On the way home he learned the lesson of not to park TOO close to the barricade when a train is coming!!!

He was a little worried when that barricade started coming down hahaha :)

Snow fell for a little while on Wednesday - huge big gentle snowflakes - it was soooo beautiful!

There was a big accident by our house on Monday - at the crossroads. The police and ambulances were there all morning. Sadly a friend of mine drove by just after it happened and said that the drivers were badly injured :(

Ice on Whyte - week two.

Yesterday the temperature had warmed up quite a bit, and so we headed back to the Ice on Whyte festival. We took Cassie with us as she had never been before. This time we caught the old Streetcar from Whyte Ave over the High Level Bridge to the Legislature Building, where the second part of the festival was. I think riding the Streetcar was a highlight for all of us :) We will definitely go back in the Summer and do this again but I'm glad we experienced it in the Winter too - and it was free :)
