Brave Girls Club online class continues.....

Working on some pages for the online class I'm taking through 'Brave Girls Club'.  This class is called 'Body Restoration' and is a six week class similar to the 'Soul Restoration' 1 and 2 classes I took last year.  

Amazing class and I am so grateful for the gift of this class <3

Quiet...

A certain someone broke their cell phone...so my cell is a lot quieter than normal :(

Well that's what happens when you use your phone as a hockey puck - AND when you don't opt for an Iphone ;p  lol yep we argue over the pro's and cons of Iphones (there are cons?????)

Birthday party...

Today was a busy day for birthday parties.  Susannah went off to go swimming and then for Chinese food for Jacobs birthday, and while she was gone, Abby and Sam were invited to a birthday party at Kidz Quarterz to celebrate A's birthday!!  

I am so used to going to KQ during the week that it was quite a shock to experience it on a weekend!  It was crazy busy!!  Wow!  So loud and crowded!  we really do get spoiled by homeschooling and being able to go to places while other children are in school!  

The party was fun though - and funny - watching children is always so funny!  The nose pickers and the children who want to unwrap all the gifts even though it isn't their birthday :)  All the children who don't eat anything - and then my two who eat anything and everything and just clear their plates so fast it looks as though I never feed them and Laurence sits there cringing with embarrassment in case people report me for starving my children hahahaha!  

And Tracy walks by Laurence and reminds him that being there and experiencing it all is the best contraception there is :)

Happy 40th Birthday Nathalie!!!!!

Happy 40th Birthday to my Beautiful friend Nathalie - one of my oldest - as in longest known friends!!  Nathalie and I have been friends since we were in Brownies together....and then we were in the same class together at school and wonderful friends!!!  

I haven't seen 'Batty Natty' for sooooo many years, BUT, the fabulous news is, that last year, with her fab guy Mark and their gorgeous little girl Lucy, they moved across the Atlantic to Canada!!!

So, even though they are still quite far away - in Ontario, they ARE in the same country at least, and we have vowed to meet this year!!!  :)  

I really hope we can make it happen!!

Bubble bath

Getting ready for my Friday night.....

Yesterday....

We studied Fauvism for art and did some pictures using the style of fauvism.  We also studied colour, the colour wheel and learned many different colours and their names such as cerulean and echru.  They had to look up the colours online and then search for them in famous paintings  The study pack we are using for art this Semester is really good because it covers all the curriculum as well as art - and teaches extra skills such as photo editing etc : 

  

The weather was sooooo gorgeous outside that we spent a great deal of time outside.  Sam and Abby were on the trampoline a lot.  bailey came over for a visit:

We even had lunch outside on the deck and spent a while throwing lumps of ice for Rosie to fetch which she LOVES to do:

Working on my class journal...

Spending time catching up on my coursework for my online class..Shawna is coming over tomorrow and we are going to spend the afternoon working on our journals :)

Friday fill ins...

And...here we go!

1. Go ahead, there's some candy still left from the candy bar, and some birthday cake in the freezer.  Susie keeps saying it's the best cake she has EVER had :)  
2. Taking the empties to the recycle centre I'll get to that soon!
3. Don't worry, this too shall pass.
4. I am relaxing for the day.It is my weekend :)
5. Pretty much the best way to sum up this week would be 'TIRED'.
6. My kids are almost always with me and thats ok :).
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to going out for supper with some new friends and then to the Starlite room, tomorrow my plans include maybe taking Abby and Sam to the drop in gymnastics session at Salto and Sunday, I want to head over to meet D's uncle and chat about art for a while and see his work!

Kidz Quarterz

Today we headed to Kidz Quarterz to meet up with friends and to have a run around and burn off some energy!!  Always a good thing for Sam :)  It was lovely catching up with Val and Christianne while the children played :)  Oh and Miss Kayla too :)
