Well we didn't see much of todays storm......the wind picked up and it rained and thundered a little but that was about it. I got a migraine from the change in pressure.....but thats nothing new.....
Lloyd is making me some rice for supper - he made the children scrambled eggs with our lovely yellow free range chicken eggs :)
Most of the cupcakes have been devoured....Chris cycled to his friends house before the storm, and he ended up staying for supper (cottage pie). He cycled home not long ago.....
Parts of Edmonton had bad flooding...Stony Plain got it worse...the Safeway had to close due to sudden floods....
They are saying because of the high snow pack this year that much of BC could flood over the next few weeks. And because of the wet winter.....we are more at risk of tornadoes this year and the set-up right now is just like in 87 when the big tornado was.
We sat out on the porch when the winds picked up and watched the rain fall..the temperature dropped from 27c to 19c very fast. It didn't last long though. When Lloyd phoned from his commute home to say a tornado had touched down, we went inside and the children went to watch tv in the basement while I watched the weather network.....
Its been an odd day all round...very up and down.......
