More waiting.......

Today consisted of a lot of waiting.....

Waiting online to talk to people at MEP....

Waiting on the phone to talk to people at Epcor...

Waiting for our internet to come back on CONSTANTLY because it keeps going off and on grrrrrr

and waiting YET AGAIN at a clinic as I had to have more tests done.

Fun fun fun....

On a brighter note, my fabby friend Trish came over for some bits and pieces of furniture - she brought me one of her AMAZING coffees

She also brought her two gorgeous girls with her who hung out with my two youngest which they LOVED and kept them happy for the day!!  She helped me sort the garage so we can get one of the cars in there at LAST!!!  She was basically a superstar!!!

Abby baked this afternoon.  Yummy chocolate muffins.

I got caught up on laundry, unpacked more boxes, sorted tons of stuff...tonight we chillaxed and watched tv....

I think tonight finally - FINALLY my new meds are starting to kick in and I am FINALLY starting to get used to them and note feel quite like a zombie on them....we will see if they help over the next few weeks!!!!!!  Or what effect they have on me.....

Thursday fun :)

I was woken at 4:30am by Rosie needing to go outside for the bathroom.  Then the graders were busy beeping as they reversed back and forth clearing the roads in the area of snow and ice grrrrrr I was awake for a couple of hours and eventually got back to sleep at 6:30am.   Then we all ended up oversleeping a bit which meant a bit of a rush to get ready to leave for Susannahs doctors appointment!

Of course we get there to be told the Doctor was running late and we should head off for a while - so we go and sit in Timmys for half an hour or so before going back to the clinic to wait...

After the doctors we came home and relaxed for the afternoon...Abigail took Rosie for a walk and Sam and Susannah cleared the snow from the driveway as the weather was so good (+5c)  

In the evening we had our homeschool group - we made bird feeders!!  AMAZING bird feeders :)

After the group we stopped off at Superstore for a few groceries then headed home and made supper, then sat and ate - it was quite late and we were all in a silly mood - as you can see in this picture:

After our late supper I headed into the garage to sort some more boxes and bring in some shelves and things for my bedroom etc etc....it ended up being a VERY late night but a very productive one :)

Hump Day Pictures :)

Apart from a run to the post office and Shoppers Drugmart, we had a day at home yesterday,

until evening that is.  In the evening Abby and Sam went to their Dads, and Susannah and I went out for coffee.  It was homeschool coffee night!  But it was a little bit special :)  Christie arrived back from the Dominican last week - they have been living there for almost two years and are back in Edmonton for a couple of months until they head off to China to live.  So we went and picked them and took them to coffee night!  Susannah sat with D and they got caught up - they are on Facebook together so have been in touch, and they had a lovely evening chatting, and Christie and I got to sit with all the other Moms - and little Mr C :)  Oh wow he has grown!!  He was just a teeny tiny baby last time I saw him!!  

There were 16 of us Moms at coffee last night in all and we were a rowdy bunch :)  Lots of laughter and chatter :)  So much fun!  I love our monthly coffee nights :)  

I came home and relaxed in my gorgeous giant bath with some candles and bubbles and my fabby book.....until I was all sleepy...and a good thing too as I was woken at 4:30 am by Rosie needing to go outside for the bathroom and then I couldn't get back to sleep as they were clearing the streets of snow outside!!  Wah!  Oh well I guess I'm up for the day - so I have made myself a coffee and have been reading my book again :)  Susannah has a doctors appointment today and tonight we are meeting friends at the farmers market and then we have our Thursday night homeschool group!!  Wow another week almost over!  Time just flies by!  

Kevin's Canada Wall :)

Kevin, our German student, sent me this picture yesterday.  It is of his 'Canada wall' :)  He created a wall in his bedroom of pictures from his visit here :)  He added the flag he bought and the mini hockey stick we gave him as well as the pictures the children made him :)  

I love it :)  

Still so happy that he had such a great visit with us!!

His holiday here went by so fast and I'm so happy we crammed in so much!  

They really weren't here for very long and I'm so sad that other families didn't make their students feel as welcome!  We really enjoyed having Kevin here and look forward to welcoming him back next year :) 

Tuesday :)

Woke up and went downstairs to let Rosie out and make my coffee - and found the backyard filled with birds - they had FINALLY found my bird feeders :)  I was soooo happy :)  Yay :)  I checked the front feeder too on the front porch and there too there were several birds :)

Sam and Abby have been growing crystal trees and are thrilled with them...they grew sooo big over night and are so pretty :)  

Rosie has settled in really fast at the new house and seems to like it - she watches out of the front window - she is easily pleased though and as long as we are with her she is happy - such a good dog. she really is such a sweetheart. 

. 

This morning was sooooo funny!  I dropped Abby and Sam at gymnastics with C and headed to my Doctors appt with Susannah.  Halfway there we see a car pulled over in the fast lane on the other side of the median.  The hazards were on and the driver was stood beside the car flagging me down.  we slowed down and drove up beside them and then Susannah said 'isn't that T???' and then said 'Oh my gawd - isn't that T with your coffee?????'  Hahahahahaha it WAS!!!!  It was T and she was flagging me down to give me a thermos of coffee hahahahaha  omg I love my mad and crazy friends sooooo much :)  

She knew I am not a morning person and would need my coffee :)  Love you T!!  :)  

My Doctors appt went ok - Ive been referred for more tests and bloodwork blah blah blah...and if that doesn't help then I have to go see a neurologist.  Fun fun fun....

After the Docs we ran and got more washer fluid because it was above freezing and VERY sloppy on the roads today as the snow and ice was melting....

Then we headed to Salto to meet up with everyone and get Abby and Sam from the drop-in...thank you C for watching them xxx

Then we headed to the library for an hour or so.....

Home for a while and I unpacked a few more boxes, Sam watched a war dvd that he got at the library...yesterday he watched 'The Battle of Britain' and today he watched 'We Were Soldiers'.  He also has 'The Memphis Belle' to watch - a movie about a B17 like the one we went in during the Summer :)  In fact THAT plane was used in that movie :)

Tonight Sam and Abby went to their Dads house for the evening.  Susannah and I went to the mall to get a few things - Melatonin and Advil etc....and we also went to the new Davids Tea store that Laurence has been raving about....we each got a tea to try.  Then we came home and found Laurence was home from work early.  And that was our Tuesday....

Now I plan to relax with my book before bed :)  

Tag time...

-My Body Feels:  tired.  old....I'm glad I am going to see my Doctor tomorrow.  

-My Environment makes me feel:   calm, good, happy, comfortable...like a weight has been lifted...

-My Schedule:    much slower than usual at the moment - but it's nice to enjoy the quieter days.

-At the end of the day I feel:  content...tired.....

-I would like to feel:  feeling in my hands and fingers - will be glad to find out what is causing this numbness and pins and needles.

A new week :)

My day started as normal...going downstairs to let Rosie out, making a coffee and siting in my big chair while I drink it :) Rosie curled up on the foot stool beside me :)  

There is no school here this week - it is Fall Break.  Laurence spent the weekend at his friends house, and Cassie spent the weekend here with us.  

Our Monday morning felt more like a Sunday, and we had a very lazy start - lounging about in front of the tv and laughing at the shows - and guessing all the answers to things on the shows...

Cassie left around lunchtime, and then we headed out to get some groceries and to pop in to Dollarama for a few things - I spotted these gloves which made me laugh out loud:

We stopped in at Walmart for some groceries, came home and made supper...or rather Susannah made supper.  We had the rainbow pasta that we bought at the Italian Centre...we had that in a creamy herb and garlic sauce, with salad and garlic bread:

While Susannah made supper, I was busy next to her boiling sugar...I made a tray of Scottish Tablet/ fudge.  Fudge at the farmers market is yummy but soooooo expensive!!!  So I decided to get the ingredients and make some!!

And now it is evening and I'm cuddled up with Sam.  Susannah has been printing a few things and pottering about.  Abby is on the computer and I will probably play cards with Sam.
