We killed them!!!

Oh my Gawd...all the tall toadstools like the one in the picture died within minutes of us opening our greenhousey thing!!!! they ahve literally all shriveled up and died! Why??? Is that lack of humidity????? Oxygen???? What???? Thats amazing! I wish we had watched them all shrivel up - that would have been so cool to watch or video - they were alive and I was photographing them and then a few minutes later they were shrivelled up and like leaf skeletons!

OMG I hope they aren't deadly poisonous or something lol!

Hahahahaha that was kind of amazing :) Oooh I hope some more grow tomorrow and I can video them dying and shrivelling up :)

Science in action :)

Toadstools...

We have toadstools growing in one of the pots with a tomato plant!!!!! Cute but weird......

Wouldn't be magic mushrooms by any chance would they???????? lol!

Pictures are crappy lol and I can't be bothered to try again...I'm tired and I really wanted to switch the computer off an hour ago!!!!!

Goodnight everyone!!!!

Abigails Daisy............

Sam starts Preschool!!

So my youngest little guy has started preschool.......here he is ready to go with his backpack holding his indoor shoes and his lunchbag!

In the top picture I think he was pointing to his 'best friend' just to make sure he was still there hahahahahaha! ;)

Coffee at Greenlands

While Sam was at preschool Abigail and I drove down to Greenland Garden Centre. We had coffee by the fishpond. I bought some flower seeds (bee friendly seeds) and Abigail chose a flower to take home and look after - A gerber daisy. We'll keep it inside for a few more weeks until it can go outside - it is the most gorgeous colour - I'll photograph it later!

Here is Abigail enjoying her carrot cake and milk!!

After the garden centre we went back the preschool and hung out in the playground outside for a while...Abigail had fun on the big climbing frame and it was so nice to be outside in the sunshine enjoying the park again :) the snow is melting away so fast again :)

I'm NOT going insane!!!!!

www.migrainepage.com/dcforum/discussion/1486.html

Thank goodness!! Other people have had coughs with Topamax and coughing too!!! The Pharmacists have all said it isn't a side effect! Doctors too! I thought it was still from the flu just lingering....or allergies from snow mold.....or perhaps asthma starting....or something else....

I've had this cough for months - since bing on these tablets - but I also had that weird flu like thing around the same time so it could ahve been from that....

But others have had a cough from these tablets too :)

Thats ok! I am NOT stopping these tablets - my migraines are so much better and I like the side effects of loss of appetite ;) the cough is annoying to me and others but...oh well ;)

Actually turns out there is quite a lot of info on coughing and Topamax - I should have just looked before instead of listening to the Pharmacist and Docs....I normally look for myself but this time I never got around to it!

Ok - anyway - we just got back from Costco...going to make my wonderful husband a cup of tea then we are off to bed!

Jennifer I am glad to see you got home safely! It was great to meet you :)

Sharon take it easy!

Val - yes I'd love you to come with me Wednesday if you can!

Goodnight everyone!

Tomorrow my youngest child starts preschool! OMG!!!

Dad....needles + Charlie

Dad - Susan (from 'It's My Blog') is making her little girl some shoes and is using leather but the leather is tough to sew so she thought she would try pig skin as she heard it is easier to sew - she wanted me to try Charlie and see is she is easier to sew - so I went outside and tried a few needles through Charlie to see how tough she is...hence the needles through Charlie the other day........

;)

Lol...as if I would!!!!!!

Actually Charlie has gone back into hibernation since the snow fell again. She is staying in her warm sty in the workshop cuddling up under heat lamps and not getting her big belly in the wet snow. This means the children have to trudge out there to feed her again which they are not too happy about. When the weather is good she spends the whole time by the house or wandering about near the porch so they don't have to go anywhere to give her food and drink as she comes to them.....lol!

Home again...

So, no Sasquatch was sighted today, but we did spot a very beautiful pregnant lady by the name of Jennifer :)

We met the wonderful Jennifer (Of 'Soleils Page' Blog) with the gorgeous Soleil herself! at the Millwoods mall for lunch today! It was so nice to meet them both at last - I have spoken to Jennifer by phone and I feel like I know her so well but we live so far apart that we hadn't yet met!

Today Jennifer was in town for a prenatal appointment and so we were able to meet up afterwards for lunch!!! :) Yay!!

For some reason I expected Jennifer to be really tall but she isn't much taller than me!!! I thought she'd be about 5'6" at least!!!

Soleil is just the cutest little thing! She has inherited this little nose-wrinkling thing from her Daddy which is just so so sweet :) she looks at you and smiles and wrinkles up her nose tight :)

We went to Smittys for lunch which was fun and actually not too stressful really (ie with Abby and Sam and not with Grace there!!), and afterwards we went to see a statue of a cutting horse that is the Grandfather or Great Grandfather (Jennifer will correct me here) of Jennifers horse Alibiransom!!! How wonderful is that!!!! Cutting is a sport and you can read more about it here (I had no idea what it was so had to look it up!!) www.ccha.ca/thecut.asp

Sam disappeared a couple of times and I think I could see Jennifer wondering how my oldest Son made it to 15 years of age in one piece :) We managed to get some pictures of the children playing on the cow before the security guards chased us away and Jennifer made a quick exit :)

I hope we didn't frighten you away from visiting with us again Jennifer! It was so lovely to meet you! Thank you so much for my Garden Fairy - at the moment she is sitting on my writing table in my bedroom :) I'm hoping she will make a wish and have all this snow disappear!

Have a safe drive back home Jennifer and I hope to see you both again very soon!

NEWSFLASH!!!!!

There was a news report on Global news this morning to say that all this fresh snow has brought sightings of the Sasquatch into Edmonton!!!!! OMG!!!!

It was seen in the NE Yellowhead area of Edmonton early Sunday evening....and they're hoping to lure it into the southside later this morning.......

Anyway.....this is just too good an opportunity to miss, so we are loading up the camera and all the lenses and getting in the truck and heading out. We figure if we go fairly South and central there is a chance we may catch a glimpse.....so we thought maybe Millwoods somewhere...

Wish us luck because it would make such a cool blog post!!!! A real live Sasquatch!!!!

Watch this space!!!!!!

British snow pics....

news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/in_pictures/7333310.stm

If any of you would like to check out the pictures of the snow that hit the UK today (Sunday)....then you can click the link above....

I think picture 10 is Criccieth in North Wales, which is where my wonderful friend Lorraine lives. Lorraine and I used to share a portion of chips together once a week - we both homeschooled our children and she was just such a blast to spend time with :) Her DH is now a volunteer Lifeboat man in a little seaside village in North Wales :)

The UK doesn't get that much snow any more, so as you can see from the pictures, when it snows, they get out there and ake the most of every centimetre!!!!!

Springtime in Alberta...

Sunday at home............a typical Spring day in Alberta :)

So much for Spring clean up all weekend lol! Ah well - it's been a lovely weekend really even if we didn't get done what we had planned! And I have to admit I do feel much better having switched on the Weather Network this morning to see that it was snowing in the South of England today too :)

Oh what a lovely SMUG feeling that was :) Sorry everyone back home but I was expecting to hear how you were all gardening and enjoying being outside all day in temperatures in their teens!!! So although you don't have as much as us, at least you had snow too :)

Wet yucky not attractive snow!!! So at least we have the pretty stuff that we can enjoy looking at and photographing :)

Ok I'll stop being SMUG now I promise lol!

oh and the gorgeous Alberta blue skies....

Ok NOW...I'll stop........

;)
