The frogs!!! They are awake!!!! Lloyd came rushing in this evening to say the frogs are croaking! So I went out on the porch and sure enough the frogs in the pond are croaking loudly!!! How wonderful - Spring is truly here!
The frogs here in Alberta kind of freeze.........they kind of hibernate by lying at the bottom of the pond and their heart rates slow until they are almost dead but not quite...so they survive our harsh winters and then come back to life almost in Spring :) Its amazing!
So they are alive and well in our pond and croaking :) YAY!!
