Lloyds on his way home.......
Lloyd is on his way home from work....Chris is at the mall...he went into town with a friend after school and he will be back.......around 6pm.......I made some white chocolate and macadamia nut cookies for everyone after school....mmmmm the house smells good....
Sam and Abby played play dough and have been outside playing in the sand box.....
I am so looking forward to our evening out......

Wednesday...hump day....
Its date night tonight and I am soooooooo looking forward to it...Lloyd took my hand at the weekend when we were out shopping and told me that he misses me because we've had hardly any alone time together the last few weeks and we have been so busy.....then last night he told me that even though we had been sat on the bed with a sick Sam on Monday night, he had enjoyed it being just us chatting......so yes...tonight is something I am really looking forward to.
We are going tot he Mall first as Lloyd has to have his hair cut but that won't take long...then we are going to the new Wok Box here in the Park....it opened last week. Apart from that we may just take a drive.....
I meant to say that on Monday I got the nicest Email!!!!! I can't say who it was from, but it was about my Iron Chef contest pieces....and I took it as a HUGE compliment!!!
Today so far I have been catching up with chores....I now have clean sparkly floors again :) they never last long but hey I can appreciate them for the 60 minutes they manage to stay clean....
Abigail has managed to block the upstairs toilet again...LOVELY!!! so Lloyd will have to fix that later.....
I chatted to my Mum for a while....she is having her kitchen redone this week and it sounds like chaos...does NOT make me look forward to having ours done......they are cooking on a camping stove atm and my Dad says that if we hear a big explosion we will know what it is ;) My dad and I were discussing the little British girl who has gone missing in Portugal...
There are things I would love to be able to blog today but I can't......so instead I will bore Lloyd silly during dinner tonight by venting to him lol! He has no choice but to listen to me moan because he married me :)
The children get home in about 20 minutes from school...they finish early today....I've missed them so much today! I think I'm ready for one of Lauries lovely cups of tea....the first thing any of them ask when they walk through the door is if I'd like a cup of tea! Abd they all ask me how my day is...often before I even get the chance to ask them about their day.......
Yay datenight vwith the gorgeous guy I am so lucky to have married :)

'nuff said............
This is what boys get up to when left alone in the house for longer than an hour.....sadly they know how to use this Mac computer better than I do and so yes I come home to find they have created a youtube video :(
I'm almost too embarrassed to admit they are my Sons........and yes they HAVE been told how dangerous nut-kicking can be...but hey...they are boys...they find this kind of thing funny.........and I apologise for the bad language....I think that was dubbed in afterwards because I KNOW my precious little 11 year old Son does NOT normally swear.......
No doubt Laurences offspring will now be born with two heads or something weird but hey - their friends think they are hilarious.....
Please picture a rolling eyes smiley here!
A bath for two........
Last night Lloyd ran a bath for Sam but then Sam changed his mind and didn't want a bath - he fell asleep instead....so I had the bath....it was lovely....I lay in the bath for about 15 minutes.....then I saw a black thing at the bottom of the bath swimming up between my legs...I looked closer only to see that it was a BIG black spider!!!!!! In my bath!!! Bloody swimming!!! Well, actually not swimming as it was most definitely drowned...but thats not the point!!! I had only shaved one leg!!! So I slowly get out of the bath and walk into the bedroom and tell Lloyd that I have been sharing my bath for the last 15 minutes with a bloody spider!!!! He comes into the bathroom and scoops it out for me and says 'You're so funny Jane'...which is odd in itself as he NEVER calls me Jane....Lloyd never uses my name - which means its noticeable when he does! He calls me Baby - yes vomit if you want to but I love it :)
Anyway, where was I??? Ah yes - so he scooped out the spider and we look at it - and its BIG...now, it isn't big in the British spider kind of big...but for here this spider is BIG...because Alberta doesn't get big spiders - just pathetic little ones....its normally too dry for big ones....but maybe this year has been so damp they have grown......BUGGER!!!!!
The ONLY person I like sharing baths with is Lloyd!!! Spiders bugger off!!!

Susannah....again :)
I forgot!
I forgot to update on Dan......the company Dan spent the day with yesterday only has work for the summer atm......and Dan isn't interested in that, so he is going to go home to England in two weeks time...I;m not quite sure if that is a permanent thing or a temporary thing but we have made it clear that we can only sponsor one person......and right now no one else is interested in immigrating..but that may not always be the case...so we can't guarantee that we will always be able to offer this opportunity. Thats said, he is always welcome to come and stay for a holiday!
One good thing that came out of his day there yesterday is that he met a girl called AJ who is having a party this weekend and she has invited Dan...so he is going to that on Saturday night and will be crashing there for the night!!! We were going to Jasper this weekend but will cancel our trip because we all feel this is a great opportunity for him to see life for a 20-something year old in Edmonton!! I think AJ is 24....
So Dan talks about coming back here to live BUT I would have to say that I am doubtful.........I think he will go home and get back into his normal life very fast......and thats fine if thats what makes him happy! I think this trip has done him a lot of good - I have seen him grow more confident in himself and more adventurous and he talks about traveling etc so if nothing else, this trip has allowed him to see that there is life outside of Yeovil....and that he is capable of a life outside of Yeovil.....

A better day....
Lloyd went into work late this morning - he stayed and had coffee with me and got Abby and Sam up and dressed for me - a lovely way to start the day :)
Yesterday was spent with a whiney toddler who was throwing up.....this morning Sam was miraculously better! He even had plenty of energy despite not eating anything yesterday! Amazing!
I took Abigail to school, and then Dan, Sam and I went out for breakfast....Grace (our Waitress) asked if Dan was my brother!!!
After we picked Abby up from preschool, we went into town....I exchanged two pairs of jeans for Abigail as Lloyd had bought the wrong size....bought some socks for Sam.....posted off a package......we had a drink in the food court (while Dan decided if he wanted an A&W burger or not.....and then we headed to Broadmoor Lake for a walk.....it was such a gorgeous day - I think they said 21c today???? The leaves are coming out on the trees and everything is green....we saw several butterflies at the park too......
Then we headed home......kids just got home and we are all heading out to have lemondae on the porch :)
Lloyd plans to work on the dog run tonight....I plan to work on my BOM challenge - I have to decorate an album cover for my 'book of me'.
I think I will take the camera outside with us......
I hope you have all had a great day enjoying the gorgeous weather :)

Ah well.....
As I thought...I didn't get through to round 5...but thats ok....I'm proud that I was never made a sous chef...I won through each round this far :) I've learned a lot and I did my best! You can't ask for more than that!!!
Its also a relief that I don't have to worry about another round....I can focus on the Book of Me challenge instead :) This month we have to choose a new album and decorate it....a book of me is exactly that - a scrapbook album just about me...it's Emine's challenge and it should be fun...a new project each month!

I Heart Leather!!!!
I just have to say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE my leather sofas.....they are just so so easy to keep clean with children.....
Sam just threw up ALL over one of the sofa cushions....but I can wipe it clean!!!! No problem!!!
I can just imagine the hassle I would ahve had if I still had my old sofas in there!!!
So yep...I love my comfy squishy leather sofas that are wipeable!!!!!

Poorly Sam
Sam isn't well again. He didn't eat much of anything yesterday but seemed fine and was outside playing a lot. This morning he has the kids bad cold and is really phlegmy.....I think that is what caused him to throw up earlier :( and he has been asleep wrapped up in my quillow ever since. Poor little guy!
I am wondering if he picked something up on Friday at playgroup and it started to hit him yesterday :( Lloyd says we should just never take them out lol - just keep them at home safe from germs ;)
Its gorgeous outside again today - hot and sunny but it looks as though I will be spending most of the day indoors until Lloyd gets home and can take over.....Its 12:40pm and I JUST got dressed....apart from checking SH for the contest results constantly (still not listed) and posting here, I have done laundry, cleaned Sam up constantly, tidied the kitchen...tidied the main floor and pottered about close to Sam...
waiting for news...
As well as waiting to hear about my contest, I am also sat here waiting to here from Dan...I asked that if he had a chance, could he phone me around lunchtime to let me know how he is getting on....I hope he can....
So yes, Dan went into town with Lloyd at 6:30 this morning....Lloyd left him at the Tim Hortons on Wye, with a book and coffee and breakfast...Dan was going to sit there and read until it was time to walk up to Ians house...
I an is giving Dan a ride to work....and Dan is spending a day seeing what it is like to be an audio engineer......the morning is being spent at the office, meeting the boss and talking (hopefully) about the chance of having a job there.....either for the busy summer season (all the festivals/ Grand Prix etc) or a permanent position.....
Then after lunch he is heading out with Ian to a site they are working at......to see the work in action!!!
I am so grateful to Samantha and Ian for organizing this....we are going to take them out for dinner in a few weeks as a thank you - because even if no job comes of it, they have given Dan the opportunity to see what his dream job is really all about - and it may be enough to inspire him to go to college or to look at other companies in the business.....
Anyway, I will post everything he tells me later :)
