Crossing the International Border into the USA

One of the highlights of our Waterton Park trip, was taking a scenic boat tour.  We chose to take the sunset tour that takes you across the international border and into America.  You disembark in Montana for 20 minutes and learn about Peace Parks - before heading back to Canada.  It was kind of fun to think we were entering the US without passports :)

A guy gives a commentary for most of the trip which turned out to be really funny and very interesting!!  So enjoyed it!  he was super cute too ;)

It was FREEZING cold on the lake though and very windy!

This is the international boundary line between Canada and America.  The trees are all cut down in a line and there are marker posts at the bottom and top.  When the posts line up EXACTLY, that is the exact border line:

Wateryon is an International Peace Park - meaning it is in two different countries and yet they work together to protect it:

Susannah and I would like to hike in Goat Haunt/Montana one day - so we will plan to do this in the next year or so.
